(1795-1836)
Born in England, William Blazeby’s family settled in New York. When he grew older, Blazeby came to Texas via New Orleans where he joined the Greys under Breece's Company. He fought in the battle of Bexar and was promoted to captain by Lt. Col. James Neill.
During the battle of the Alamo, Blazeby led his own infantry company, which held many of the New Orleans Greys. Blazeby was killed in the final siege.
