Claiborne Wright

(1810-1836)

Claiborne was born in North Carolina, the son of James and Patsy Stigall Wright. Joining the Texas army in 1835, he took part in the Battle of Bexar. He was discharged in December of 1835 and went home to Gonzales. Wright returned to the Alamo as part of the brave group of men from Gonzales on March 1, 1836. Wright was killed in the final siege.
